Fuel Related Surcharge Increase – Hawaii / Guam / Micronesia

Aloha HFS and GFS Customers,
Due to rapid increase with fuel prices, the steamship lines serving Hawaii and Guam have announced they will adjust the fuel surcharge. Bunker fuel oil prices have increased by as much as 50% since the end of last year. Oil prices have been rising since last December and more rapidly since the start of the war in Eastern Europe.
Bunker fuel surcharge will increase by 7.5 percentage points effective Sunday April 10, 2022. The surcharge for Hawaii service will be increased from 38.5% to 46%; for Guam/CNMI service it will be increased from 39.5% to 47%; and for Micronesia service from 43.5% to 51%.
Honolulu Freight Service and Guam Freight Service will adjust our pricing to reflect these increases.
