We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Hostler to join our team! As a Yard Hostler, you will be responsible for moving trailers and other equipment around the yard and ensuring that they are properly positioned for loading and unloading.
- Operate yard hostler to move trailers and other equipment around the yard
- Ensure that trailers are properly positioned for loading and unloading
- Conduct safety checks on equipment before and after use
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Take inventory of trailers and other equipment around the yard
- Occasionally assist Warehouse team members
- Communicate effectively with other team members and supervisors
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hawaii CDL A is required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a yard hostler or similar equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and safety protocols
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in freight operations, logistics, or a related role
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- Strong understanding of transportation management systems and logistics software
- Sitting, standing, walking around the yard
- Outdoor work environment
- Work in various weather conditions
- Operate equipment such as forklift, company vehicle, electrical/manual pallet jack
- Ability to lift to 50lbs as needed
- Some push/pull/lift/carry as needed
