A dependable, and well-organized Mechanic Administrative Assistant to handle day-to-day clerical duties for the Mechanic Shop. The Mechanic Admin will provide direct support to the head mechanic by upkeeping equipment files, recordkeeping, and other tasks as described below.
- Create and sort work orders for recordkeeping
- Upkeep equipment files daily
- Record all work orders and PMs in equipment files
- Assist with equipment audit(s) as needed
- Record and input work order data in spreadsheets for each month
- Fax/email or mail DOT inspection reports to the DOT Motor Vehicle Safety Office
- Merry up work orders and invoices for filing and recordkeeping
- Research and order parts as needed
- May be required to pick up parts, tools, equipment, and materials necessary for completion of assigned tasks.
- Work with Management for invoice approvals
- General maintenance and cleaning for environmental inspections
- Comply with OSHA & DOT regulations
- Complete all company assigned training
- All other tasks as assigned

- Must comply with drug/alcohol policy and pass pre-employment background check
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Hawaii State Driver’s License
- Knowledge of OSHA & DOT regulations is a plus
- Experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, inclusive of diesel, electric, and gasoline powered automobiles, and automotive, ground, and mechanical equipment is a plu
- Walk and/or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; push/pull/move objects; and lift overhead
- Exposure to dust, dirt, and grime, with soiling of hands and clothing if/when in mechanic shop
- Exposure to moderate to high levels of noise
- Constant use of computer, mouse, and phone
